Smoke Free Mon County
"Smoke Free Mon County" is a coalition
of local groups, health organizations, policy makers and citizens
sharing the common goal of creating a smoke-free Monongalia County.
We seek to create an environment that protects all citizens,
workers, students and visitors in Monongalia County from the harmful
effects of tobacco smoke pollution by:
- Supporting smoke-free workplaces
- Advocating for a comprehensive clean indoor
air regulation
- Educating the public on the effects of
secondhand smoke by providing current reliable information
In
achieving these goals we hope to reduce the instances of highly
preventable illness and death caused by exposure to secondhand
smoke.
